Individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) possess unique strengths and educational needs. Understanding the characteristics of ASD is crucial for implementing effective practices and specially designed instruction to meet individual needs. We invite you to utilize the options below for real life, practical, evidence based learning.
Webinars
The ASD Network team has curated a series of webinars designed to provide on-demand implementation support. These webinars offer needed professional development on evidence-based practices and include presentations from national and local experts. New webinars are added regularly to meet the needs of Nebraska educators, families, and community partners.
All webinars are free, and participants can receive a professional development CEU certificate.
Virtual Strategies
The ASD Network, along with our Kansas and Colorado partners, have created short videos and easy-to-use resources on a variety of evidence-based practices for working with individuals with autism.
All of the Virtual Strategies include the overview video of the strategy with steps of implementation, examples, resources, and links to the supporting research. These can be reviewed and discussed in approximately 15 minutes.
Training Modules
These on-demand training modules are designed for anyone who supports, instructs, works with, or lives with someone on the autism spectrum. The modules guide users through a variety of content and resources, including case studies, instructional videos, assessments, discussion questions, activities, and more.
Handouts and guided notes are provided for each complete training module. Users have the option to complete an entire training module or select individual micro-lessons. The modules and micro-lessons are available for individuals or teams looking to work through the courses.
