This two-part series will provide an overview of the development of executive functioning (EF) skills in early childhood (ages 3-6 years), as well as an introduction to strategies to support the early development of EF skills in young children with EF challenges. After attending this webinar participants will be able to:
Describe the role of executive functioning (EF) in early childhood development, particularly in developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
Identify potential signs of EF challenges in young children with DD/ASD
Understand the research evidence for how EF relates to long-term functional outcomes in DD/ASD
Explain the transdiagnostic role of EF in common childhood mental health issues
